Pune: Mundhwa Police Arrest Wanted Accused In Attempt To Murder Case After 2 Months

Mundhwa, 19th January 2024: Mundhwa Police successfully apprehended Anup Dhage, a 23-year-old suspect involved in attempted murder, who had been evading authorities for the past two months. The accused faced charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Maharashtra Police Act, Arms Act, and Criminal Law (Amendment) Act.

Dhage, residing in Keshav Nagar, Pune, had managed to stay off the radar since the case was registered against him. The breakthrough came on January 18, said Senior Police Inspector Mahesh Bolkotgi, in charge of Mundhwa Police Station.

Police Constable Mahesh Pathak received the tip that Dhage was heading to Uruli Kanchan in Pune. Senior Police Inspector Bolkotgi immediately instructed Assistant Police Inspector Sandeep Jore and his team to go to the specified location and effect the arrest.

Following the information, Assistant Police Inspector Jore and his team laid a trap at PMPML Bus Stand, Uruli Kanchan, successfully detaining Dhage. The arrest was made in connection with the registered crime, and Dhage is now in police custody.

The investigation team included Police Inspector Sangita Rokade, Assistant Police Inspector Sandeep Jore, and police personnel Dinesh Rane, Santosh Kale, Santosh Jagtap, Dinesh Bhandurge, Mahesh Pathak, Zurange, Swapnil Raskar, Hemant Perne and Sachin Patil.
