Pune Municipal Corporation To Participate In Indian Cleanliness League

Pune, 14th September 2022: The Pune Municipal Corporation has participated in the Indian Cleanliness League competition organized by the Central Government on the occasion of 75 years of Independence (Amritmahotsav) of the country. The Municipal Corporation will participate under the name of Puneri Nayak.

 

 

 

“Various activities will be implemented in the city from 17th September to 2nd October,” said Additional Commissioner Kunal Khemnar in a press conference.

 

 

 

Deputy Commissioner Asha Raut, Assistant Health Officer, and representatives of social organisations, including Ketaki Ghatge, were present.

 

 

 

On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav, a cleanliness round will be organized on 17th September from Taljai foothill to Taljai Temple, Bharti University Entrance to Nanasaheb Peshwa Lake, and Omkareshwar Temple to Shaniwarwada from 7 am to 9 am.

 

 

 

For this, social organisation groups will participate in every place. Khemnar said that school and college students, NCC, NSS, women’s self-help groups, Ganesh mandals, Mohalla committee members, former corporators, and dignitaries from various fields will participate in this cleanliness round.
