Baner, 7th January 2026: NCP candidate Amol Balwadkar from Ward 9 on Tuesday said he was overwhelmed by the public response during his campaign, noting a visible shift in voter engagement across the Baner–Balewadi–Pashan–Sutarwadi–Sus–Mahalunge belt.

Speaking during his campaign interactions, Balwadkar said voters were now taking the initiative to meet candidates. “The situation has changed. While we continue to reach out to voters, in many places people themselves are coming forward to meet us. The trust and affection shown by citizens has truly moved me,” he said.

Balwadkar was addressing residents during a series of meetings, interactions and outreach programmes held in Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sutarwadi, Sus and Mahalunge. A large number of citizens participated in these programmes and raised concerns related to basic civic amenities, traffic congestion, water supply, cleanliness, healthcare, education and other day-to-day issues.

Responding to the queries, Balwadkar emphasised the need for consistency, transparency and timely execution of development works. He outlined priorities for the next phase, stating that effective implementation and accountability would be key focus areas if elected.

“This is not just an election campaign; it is a dialogue built on trust between citizens and their representative. People are stepping forward on their own, sharing suggestions and expressing their willingness to stand together. There can be no greater strength than this,” Balwadkar said.

After the programmes, Balwadkar continued interacting with residents and appealed for wider public participation from all sections of society, stressing that inclusive involvement was essential for addressing local issues and ensuring sustainable development.
