Pune, October 19, 2020: To resolve the traffic congestion on the Yerwada to Shikarapur stretch on Pune-Aurangabad State highway, the six lane road will be constructed by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
Recently, a meeting was held under the leadership of deputy chief minister and district guardian minister Ajit Pawar between Public Works Department (PWD) and state highway authority. During the meeting it was decided that to develop the road, funds can be taken from Centre. Accordingly, Pawar contacted Gadkari, who has shown an affirmative response in carrying out the project.
MLA Sunil Tingre said, “It was revealed in a survey that Nagar road is the most congested road. I had given a suggestion to make this road as signal free, the way roads are in Pimpri Chinchwad. Dy CM responded to it and thus the proposal for it is in making.”
