Pune: National Memorial Of Savitribai Phule At Bhide Wada Is On Priority List, Says CM Shinde
Pune, 28th February 2023: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said in reply to a question in the Legislative Assembly that the construction of a national memorial to Savitribai Phule at Bhide Wada in Pune is the highest priority of the government. A meeting will be held with the owners, developers, and tenants to get the work of the memorial started. Member Chetan Tupe raised this question.
The Chief Minister said that the national memorial of Savitribai Phule is a matter of identity. Necessary funds will be made available for this memorial.
Giving more information in this regard, Minister Uday Samant informed that a meeting will soon be held with the Collector, Municipal Commissioner, and Urban Development Department to get fair compensation to the tenants according to the ready reckoner and market value while setting up the National Memorial of Savitribai Phule.
