Pune: NCP Leader Rupali Chakankar Booked For EVM Pooja In Baramati

Pune, 7th May 2024: Today, voting took place in the Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency, with many voters exercising their right to vote. However, NCP Leader and president of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women, Rupali Chakankar, found herself embroiled in controversy as she performed a Pooja on an EVM Machine. A case has been registered against her at the Sinhagad Road Police Station, Pune city police.

Chakankar arrived at the voting centre in the Khadakwasla area with a plate and lamp, proceeding to perform a pooja on an EVM Machine. Election Commission of India (ECI) officials observed this and subsequently filed a complaint with their superiors. As a result, a complaint against Chakankar has been lodged at the Sinhagad Road Police Station.
