Khadakwasla, 27th May 2025: The National Defence Academy (NDA) Spring Term Expo 2025 was inaugurated today by Kamaljit Singh, President of the Family Welfare Organisation at NDA. The three-day event highlights the culmination of cadets’ extracurricular efforts, featuring innovative projects and artistic expressions from 24 hobby clubs.

Organised within the prestigious NDA campus at Khadakwasla, the Expo offers a vibrant platform for cadets to showcase their talents beyond the rigours of military training. From robotics and drone technology to underwater object detection systems, the displays reflect the future-ready mindset of India’s next generation of military leaders.

Among the major crowd-pullers are the Semaphore/Sign Language Humanoid Robot, an Obstacle-Avoiding Quad-Copter Drone, and an Underwater Ultrasonic Object Detector. These projects not only captured the curiosity of visitors but also underscored the cadets’ grasp of technical skills and innovation.

“The enthusiasm and passion shown by the cadets are truly commendable,” said Kamaljit Singh during the inauguration. “I also appreciate the dedicated efforts of the instructors who have played a vital role in nurturing the cadets’ critical thinking and creative abilities.”

The Expo remains open to visitors from May 27 to 29. Proud parents of the graduating 148th NDA course will get a unique opportunity to witness the multifaceted development of their wards—both as future officers and as individuals with diverse interests and capabilities.

With an emphasis on self-expression, productive use of leisure time, and psychomotor skill development, the NDA Expo continues to be a testament to the holistic training philosophy of the Academy.
