Pune: New Mula-Mutha Canal Of Khadakwasla Dam Burst In Fursungi
Fursungi, 26th December 2022: 1,005 cusecs of water was released from the Khadakwasla dam in Pune to the new Mula-Mutha canal in the early hours of this morning. But due to the high amount of water, the canal passing through Fursungi Deshmukhmala has got a big tunnel under the road, and the canal burst. Due to this, the water began to flow on a large scale.
As soon as the canal authorities and local citizens received the information about this, they buried the tunnel temporarily. For further action, the local citizens have demanded that the water of the canal should be shut off and the work of excavating the tunnel should be continued immediately.
