Pune News: Maha Metro Initiates Bidding Process for PCMC to Nigdi Metro Extension Work

The Maha Metro has initiated the bidding process for the construction of a 4.5-kilometer elevated viaduct, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of the Metro route between PCMC and Nigdi.

This expansion project, part of the North-South Corridor – Pune Metro Reach 1 Extension, invites interested parties to undertake the construction of the viaduct, spanning from PCMC to Bhakti Shakti Chowk in Nigdi. The completion period for this ambitious endeavor is set at 130 weeks from the date specified in the Letter of Acceptance (LOA).

Key details highlighted in the bid invitation include the availability of the tender documents for download between 16th December 2023, starting from 4:00 pm, until 22nd January 2024, ending at 4:00 pm through the Maha-Metro e-tender portal. Prospective bidders are required to obtain these documents at a cost of Rs 1,18,000/- (inclusive of applicable GST), payable through online modes such as Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking, following the procedures outlined in the tender document.

Furthermore, a pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 9th January 2024 at 11:00 am, to be held at the office of ED/Procurement, Maha-Metro. Queries from bidders must be submitted beforehand via email or hard copy to the designated office. Additionally, the bid submission deadline is set for 22nd January 2024, closing at 4:00 pm through the Maha-Metro e-tender portal.

The bid security amount, also known as Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), stands at INR 1.74 Crores and is to be furnished in the form of an Irrevocable Bank Guarantee as specified in the tender document. However, agencies registered as Micro or Small Enterprises (MSE) are exempted from submitting the EMD and are required to provide their MSME registration certificate along with the Bid Securing Declaration.

The opening of the tender bids is scheduled for 22nd January 2024, post 4:30 pm at the Procurement Department, Civil Court Metro Tender Station, Nyayamurti Ranade Path, Pune-411005.

It’s important to note that all costs associated with the preparation and submission of the bid are the sole responsibility of the bidder. Maha-Metro explicitly states that it will not bear any of these costs, regardless of the bidding process’s outcome.
