Pune NGO, Lift For Upliftment’s Milestone: 200+ Admissions in 8 Years, Bridging Gaps in Medical Education

Pune, 15th December 2023: Lift For Upliftment (LFU), a prominent non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged medical aspirants, marked its 8th Foundation Day on 14th December with an atmosphere of joy and accomplishment. The celebration highlighted LFU’s enduring commitment to providing free coaching for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and realizing the dreams of aspiring students.

Founded on 14th December 2015 with the noble vision of bridging educational gaps in the medical field, LFU has emerged as a beacon of hope for students seeking a career in medicine. Over the past eight years, the organization has worked tirelessly to foster academic excellence and facilitate the holistic development of students, resulting in the admission of more than 200 students to various medical colleges.

The Foundation Day event was marked by a ceremonial ceremony, featuring testimonials from successful students and shared experiences from dedicated volunteers. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Ramdas Bhise (IRTS), who imparted valuable insights into the “appropriate strategies required for cracking competitive exams along with hard work” based on his personal experiences.

LFU expressed heartfelt appreciation to its dedicated team of volunteers, donors, and well-wishers, acknowledging their pivotal role in the organization’s journey. As LFU looks towards the future, the NGO remains steadfast in its commitment to uplifting communities through education and creating a positive impact on society.

LFU, initiated by students of BJ Medical College, started as a movement to make medical education inclusive and affordable for the most economically disadvantaged. The organization has grown steadily, with students from various medical and engineering colleges voluntarily joining the cause.

LFU stands as a pioneer in providing free coaching for NEET, aiming to support needy and underprivileged students through proper hand-holding and quality education. In its eight batches, LFU has successfully facilitated admissions for 96 MBBS, 17 BDS, 51 BAMS, 14 BHMS, 9 NURSING, 1 B FARM., 1 BMLT, and 6 PHYSIOTHERAPY seats. Additionally, students unable to secure admission in medical colleges were counseled to join Pharmacy, Nursing, and other Paramedical courses, contributing to the creation of quality human resources for the health sector.

LFU’s unique approach extends beyond academics, emphasizing the incorporation of ethical and moral values in the minds of aspiring healthcare professionals during the rigorous two years of coaching.
