Pune: Four Arrested In Road Rage Case In Hadapsar

Hadapsar, 15th December 2023: A tragic incident unfolded in the Shewalwadi area of Hadapsar, resulting in the death of a 30-year-old motorist, Abhishek Sanjay Bhosale, following an argument over a car collision on Tuesday (12th) night.

The police have arrested four individuals, identified as Kailas Sakat, Sachin Sakat, Prashant Rakhapsare, and Dnyaneshwar Rakhapsare, in connection with the case.

The altercation occurred when Abhishek, along with his nephew Atharva Dadasaheb Sable, was driving on the Phursungi-Chandwadi road around 10 pm. The accused individuals, engaged in a fight among themselves, reportedly began abusing Abhishek after his car collided with them. The situation escalated, leading to a physical assault on Abhishek, during which he sustained severe injuries.

The assailants attacked Abhishek with a weapon, and a stone was thrown at his head. Atharva, Abhishek’s nephew, also faced verbal abuse and physical assault. Abhishek succumbed to his injuries, highlighting the gravity of the incident. The police launched an investigation, leading to the identification and subsequent arrest of the four individuals involved.

The police have taken all the accused into custody. A case has been registered against seven to eight persons in connection with the incident. Atharva, the nephew of the deceased, filed a complaint, providing crucial information that contributed to the arrests.

Abhishek, engaged in the furniture sales business, was the sole breadwinner for his family after the accidental demise of his father last year. He left behind his mother, wife, a four-month-old son, and three sisters. The grieving family has demanded strict action against the accused responsible for Abhishek’s untimely death.

Hadapsar Police are investigating the matter further.
