Kondhwa, 12th March 2022: Anandvan Parisar Resident Forum (ARPF) is carrying out a protest on 13th March 2022 from 9 am to 12 noon at the area next to Anandvan Gate, NIBM Annexe. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will be in Kondhwa around same time for inauguration for projects.

During the 3 hours long protest, the members of the forum will create a human chain intended to fight against the injustices done to them in terms of providing basic amenities and emergency needs. Covid appropriate

behaviors will also be adhered to.

Anandvan Parisar Resident Forum is an informal association of 25 Housing Societies aiming at anticipating and solving the common local issues of residents of this area.

It has been cooperating to determine three main issues of PMC water supply, Sewage system, and sharp gradient of the road approaching Anandvan from NIBM road and its widening.

The President of APRF Nitin Bokey said, “Even after giving several petitions and letters, there is nothing concrete happening. This dharna is just to show our strength to the administration for our safety, security, and requirement of emergency needs.”

Kishen Milaney, vice president of ARPF, said, “despite all the efforts, letters, petitions, and meetings in the last year, there has been no advancement on these major issues. The promises have not been satisfied.”

The residents of the area are facing inconvenience, difficulty in commuting, and a heavy burden of paying for water tankers who are regularly paying property tax to PMC for the last many years. A lot of accidents also happen due to slopes, and small roads on which heavy vehicles travel.

APRF made speed breakers, CCTV cameras, and lights available for the residents there, but their major issue has been water and road facilities.

The in-charge of this project, Colonel Borse said, “I have been staying here for more than 10 years. We all are paying full taxes, but we are neglected of the very basic amenities. After several tries of contacting the authorities and administrations, now we have decided to plan and execute a protest.”

This protest is organized so that problems are highlighted and to seek the attention of concerned authorities and the residents get what they need.
