Pune: No Vehicle Zone, Traffic Diversion Planned In Koregaon Park Tomorrow And Day After During Votes Counting

Koregaon Park, 28th February 2023: The counting of votes for the Kasba Peth assembly constituency will be organised on March 2 (Thursday) at the godown of Food Corporation of India (FCI) on South Main Road in Koregaon Park, Pune.

Keeping in mind the presence of a large number of people during the counting process, Pune traffic police have planned traffic diversion in the area from 11 am on March 1 (Wednesday) till counting is completed on March 2 (Thursday).

To divert the traffic and prevent any inconvenience to citizens, the following orders have been issued:

  1. Vehicles coming from St. Mira’s College and Atur Park Society towards South Main Road will be given access up to Lane No.1. Barricading will be done here, and vehicles can turn left and proceed to their desired destination.
  2. Vehicles coming from South Main Road Lane No. 5,6,7 will be allowed only till Lane No. 4 and vehicles can turn right here and proceed to their desired destination.
  3. Barricading will be done opposite St. Mira’s College, opposite Koregaon Park Police Station, and South Main Road Lane No. 5.
  4. All types of vehicles will be barricaded in front of the Jain’s property at South Main Road Lane No. 2 to prevent access to South Main Road.
  5. Barricading is being done between bungalow no. 67 and 68 at South Main Road Lane No. 3, preventing all types of vehicles from going to South Main Road.
  6. A no-vehicle zone will be made on both sides of the road from Darode Path (Koregaon Park Police Station) to Lane No. 5 from 11 am on March 1 until the counting process is completed.
  7. Parking places have been designated for officials and employees related to the counting process at the premises of Sant Gadge Maharaj School. All types of vehicles of candidates, their representatives, and other citizens should also be parked in the premises of Sant Gadge Maharaj School.
