Pune: Notorious Criminal Murdered Near Sangvi Police Station

Sangvi, 30th May 2024: A notorious criminal was murdered in Sangvi, Pimpri Chinchwad by gunshots to his face. It happened last night around 10 PM at Maheshwari Chowk, Sangvi, just 500 meters from Sangvi Police Station, Pimpri Chinchwad police.

The deceased individual has been identified as Deepak Kadam (30). Deepak was a known history-sheeter with multiple past offences, including an attempted murder case, registered against him.

According to police reports, at 10 PM yesterday, gunshots were fired by unknown assailants at Maheshwari Chowk, an area very close to Sangvi Police Station. Deepak was shot in the face, severely injuring him. He was declared dead on arrival at Aundh District Hospital, having been shot twice.

Upon receiving the information, Sangvi Police, along with the crime branch, reached the crime scene. The search for the accused is ongoing. Senior Police Inspector Mahesh Bansode of Sangvi Police Station stated, “Further details are awaited; we are investigating the motive for the murder and the identity of the accused.”
