The remaining eight hectares of land will also be acquired soon. Accordingly, the road from Hadapsar to Dive Ghat has now been cleared. Therefore, it is possible to use this route by December.

The groundbreaking program of both these routes was held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8th November 2021. After that, the work of land acquisition of these routes started on a war level.

A direct purchase scheme was implemented for that. 460 hectares of land in the district was required for both these routes. Accordingly, 452 hectares of land have been acquired so far. The remaining eight hectares will also be taken over soon. Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh is taking initiative in this and is making the land acquisition work.

Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Route is 234 km long and has six stages. This will cost about Rs 7,516 crore. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is working on this. The work of five phases has started. The sixth stage is from Hadapsar to Dive Ghat and the entire land here has also been taken over. Therefore, the work of this sixth phase will also start soon. Saint Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Route is 130 km long and the work is being done in three phases. A fund of Rs 4,415 crore will be given for this. The route from Dehu to Hadapsar is passing through the limits of both municipalities. As this is an urban road, Nitin Gadkari has clarified that discussions will be held with the municipal corporation and the state government regarding its improvement.

National Highway 65 from Hadapsar to Kasurdi is under construction to convert from four to six lanes. The work of making the Kasurdi to Patus route four-lane is also underway. However, it is not included in the palanquin route. The Palkhi route consists of three stages namely Patus to Baramati, Baramati to Indapur, and Indapur to Tondle Bondse.
