Pune: One-Way Traffic System Introduced Near JPNV in Nigdi to Prevent Accidents

Nigdi, 21st January 2025: A T-junction has been created in front of the gate of Jnana Prabodhini Navanagar Vidyalaya (JPNV) in Nigdi Pradhikaran, Pimpri Chinchwad, where three roads converge. Due to the possibility of accidents, a one-way traffic system has been introduced in the area on a trial basis until 27th January. Deputy Commissioner of Police Bapu Bangar, in charge of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC) Traffic Branch, has issued orders regarding this change.

Suggestions and objections regarding the one-way traffic system should be submitted to the Traffic Branch office in Chinchwad by 27th January, after which a final order will be issued.

The following changes have been implemented:

1. A one-way route has been established from Krishna Chowk, Rajnand Bungalow to Hindu Rashtra Bakery.
2. All vehicles are prohibited from travelling from Hindu Rashtra Bakery to Rajnand Bungalow towards Krishna Veg Restaurant.
3. Vehicles on this route must turn right from Hindu Rashtra Bakery to Dakkhan Spice Restaurant and proceed to their desired destination via Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk.
4. A one-way route has been created from the Pimpri Chinchwad Muk Badhir School to Rajnand Bungalow.
5. All vehicles are banned from travelling from Rajnand Bungalow to the Muk Badhir School and Krishna Veg Restaurant.
6. Vehicles on this route must go from Rajnand Bungalow via Hindu Rashtra Bakery to their desired destination via Dakkhan Spice Restaurant.

Additionally, the police have instructed Jnana Prabodhini Navanagar Vidyalaya Nigdi to make separate arrangements for students to board and disembark from school buses, as stopping on the road is no longer permitted.
