Pune: Opposition Parties Protest In PMC General Body Meeting Over Water Issues In Uruli Devachi And Fursungi

Pune, 9th September 2021: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator Ganesh Dhore arrived at the general body meeting of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday with a yoke to draw attention to the water issue of Uruli Devachi and Fursungi.

At that time corporators from Shiv Sena and Congress also participated in the agitation. The opposition party leaders jointly demonstrated against the water supply issue.

In this agitation, Shiv Sena group leader Prithviraj Sutar, corporator Vishal  Dhanwade, Bala Oswal, Shweta Chavan, Congress group leader Aba Bagul, Leader of Opposition Deepali Dhumal, NCP corporator Deepak Mankar, Subhash Jagtap, Prashant Jagtap, Datta Dhankavade, Vishal Tambe, Yogesh Sasane, Vaishali Bankar, Pradip Gaikwad, Congress corporators Arvind Shinde, Ravindra Dhangekar, Ajit Darekar etc. participated.

The corporators demanded immediate water supply, laying of drainage lines, electrical works, and roads in the newly merged 23 villages.

Mayor Murlidhar Mohol promised to hold a meeting with the Municipal Commissioner on this issue.
