Pune: Over 1,500 Students Visit Defence Exhibition
Pune, 8th February 2023: Around 1,500 students visited the Defence Expo 2023-exhibition organized by NIBE Limited at its site at Khalumbre MIDC (Chakan). Many students were first-time attendees of this type of exhibition. They were enthralled to receive this opportunity.
The students came from several colleges across Pune, including the Army Institute of Technology, MIT ADT University, Pravara Engg College, Amrutvahini Engg College, Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology and others. The Chief Managing Director of the company, Ganesh Ramesh Nibe, interacted with the students to encourage them to set high aims in life and diligently pursue them. His experiences, wisdom and knowledge served as a source of motivation and enlightenment for the students. This occasion was also graced by the presence of Vinay Kumar Chaubey, Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Police.
Many were keen to not only witness more events of the same kind but also to actively work in the defence industry to be active participants in strengthening the nation’s military. The exhibition was organized with special emphasis on giving students from colleges in the vicinity an opportunity to witness such an exhibition.
As an emerging defence goods manufacturing Company, Nibe Limited celebrated its second foundation day. The 8th of February saw an extensive defence exhibition being organized against the backdrop of a successful inauguration of the Defence and aerospace plant on the 7th of February. The exhibits housed at the MSME DEFEXPO were a plethora of Defence goods ranging from small arms to parts of Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers, and launchers of missiles for the army and the air force. Apart from defence goods EVs like electric scooters and motorcycles, electronic bicycles were also displayed, most of which are manufactured by the E- Motors vertical of the same company.
The employees and the Heads of the company enthusiastically organized the event and are keen to continue manufacturing equipment for the forces and help indigenize the military in the future.
