Pune: Over 2.19 Lakh Students Register for 11th Admission, 30,000 Yet to Apply

Pune, 6th June 2025: The registration deadline for the online 11th standard admission process in Pune division ended on Thursday, with 2,19,153 students completing their applications. However, data from the education department reveals that around 30,000 students who passed their 10th standard exams in the region have not registered for 11th admissions.
The initial deadline for registration was 3rd June but was extended to 5th June due to changes in the minority and in-house quota admissions. The Pune division, which includes Pune, Ahilyanagar, and Solapur districts, saw 1,19,853 registrations from Pune district, 52,232 from Ahilyanagar, and 47,069 from Solapur.
This year, 2,63,154 students appeared for the 10th board exams in the Pune division, with 2,49,507 passing. While the majority have opted for 11th standard admissions, a significant number are exploring alternatives such as ITI and engineering diploma courses. The education department continues to monitor the situation, as more than 30,000 eligible students are yet to participate in the 11th admission process.
