Pune: Over 2.6 Lakh Consumers Face Load Shedding As High Tension Line Snapped

Pune, October 10, 2020: Due to technical snag at the Jejuri 400 kV station, Maharashtra Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) snapped the power lines sending areas surrounding Nanded City and Sinhgad Road under load shedding. This has affected the power supply of over 2.60 lakh consumers from the area.

Due to the snag, 82 lines of MSEDCL’s Parvati and Padmavati will resort to circular load shedding. The load shedding started at 8.35 am in the morning. After the technical snag at Jejuri sub-station, it affected the power supply at Nanded city 220 kv station resulting in snapping of the power supply.

This forced MSEDCL to have circular load shedding of over two hours at Sinhgad Road, Dhayari, Vadgaon, Hingne, Kirkitwadi, Ambegaon, Bibvewadi, Dhankawadi, Shantinagar, Katraj, Balajinagar.
