Pune: Over 400,000 Applications Received For 4644 Talathi Posts Across Maharashtra

Pune, 14th July 2023: As the deadline for applications approaches, the Land Records Department in Pune has received an overwhelming response of over 400,000 applications for 4644 Talathi posts. The last date for submitting applications is July 17, and it is anticipated that another 200,000 to 250,000 applications will be received.
Maharashtra state currently faces a shortage of more than 4,000 Talathis, hampering revenue-related activities at the village level. To address this issue, the government has initiated the recruitment process to fill these vacant positions. The online application process for Talathi recruitment is already underway, with the aim of hiring approximately 4,500 Talathis across the state.
The Land Records Department has provided a detailed report on various types of reservations, which can be found on their official website. The examination for the Talathi post is expected to be conducted in August or September, following the closing date for applications on July 17. The results will be announced in October, after which the selection list will be prepared.
Anand Raite, Additional Commissioner of the Land Records Department, stated that candidates will be assessed through a computer-based examination carrying a total of 200 marks. To be eligible for inclusion in the merit list, candidates must secure a minimum of 45% of the total marks. Applicants who have completed 12th grade or hold a graduation degree from a recognized educational institution are eligible to apply.
