Pune: Over 600 Passengers Travelling Without Tickets In PMPML Caught In 15 Days, Fines Worth Rs 3.92 Lakh Recovered

Pune 17th Oct 2023: The flying squads of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) have managed to catch a total of 619 passengers travelling without tickets between October 1 and 15. The officials have recovered a fine of Rs 3,92,500 from the defaulters. The highest number of ticketless travelers were caught on October 9 when a fine of Rs 37,000 was recovered.
The transport body recovers a fine of Rs 500 from a passenger found travelling without tickets. Random checking is conducted at any bus during its travel in the city. The PMPML officials have urged the commuters to purchase tickets for their journey to avoid action.
