Pune : Over 60K People Benefit Through 90 OPD Desks At Mega Health Camp On Sunday

Pune 7th August 2023: The Mega health camp organised by the state government in Pune on Sunday has received a good response as over 60,000 people have taken benefit here, said officials. A total of 90 Outpatient Department Desks (OPDs) were set up at the health camp with experienced doctors from the city and other parts who participated in it. The camp organised at the Agriculture College Ground in the city in a joint initiative by the State Government, Someshwar Foundation and Niramaya Foundation was successful, said officials.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendar Fadnavis felicitated the doctors who participated in the camp here at an event organised in the evening. The state government is organising similar camps at various districts under leadership of Minister Girish Mahajan and the citizens are treated free of cost here. The needy patients are also provided help for operation and other treatment needed in case of detection of any health problem during this camp. An awareness on organ donation, blood donation, cancer is also being made through this camp, said Girish Majaian.

The state government earlier has also announced to increase the assistance under Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MPJAY) to Rs 5 lakh while extending its benefit to all the ration card holders in the state.
