Pune: Owner Booked After Dog Bites Woman In Elevator

Hadapsar, 26th July 2022: On July 20, a Chow Chow dog bit a 45-year-old woman who lived in Kumar Sienna, Hadapsar, when she was in the elevator. A complaint has been made against the dog owner by the woman.

According to police, the complainant entered the elevator for the building’s 10th floor at 7:10 p.m. The accused’s daughter boarded the elevator with her dog as it reached the seventh floor. The dog attacked and bit the complainant on the right hand as the elevator started to move. The daughter stopped the elevator on the third floor. After that the complainant called her husband for assistance and he took her to Noble Hospital for the treatment.

In her complaint, the complainant claimed that Singh’s family had received repeated advice to exercise caution when walking their dog in the apartment complex. Three additional residents had already been attacked by the dog.

The dog’s owner has been charged by the Hadapsar Police with violating section 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
