Pune: Panic in Tathawade as School Buses Explode in Flames
Tathawade, 8th October 2023: A terrifying incident unfolded in Tathawade, Pimpri Chinchwad, as three to four school buses suddenly erupted in flames near JSPM College, accompanied by loud explosions.
The incident sent shockwaves through the area, causing students and citizens to flee in fear. The dramatic scenes of smoke billowing and flames raging were captured in videos that are now circulating widely on social media.

According to the authorities, the school buses were parked within the premises of JSPM College. All of these buses operated on gas fuel, and at around 11:30 pm on Sunday, three to four of them erupted in flames, detonating one after another. The deafening explosions reverberated for several kilometers, while plumes of smoke and flames were visible from a distance. The terrifying incident prompted local citizens and students to scramble onto the streets in a matter of moments.
The swift response of the fire brigade led to the successful extinguishing of the fire. There were no casualties reported in this harrowing incident.
