Pune: Parag Kalkar Appointed Pro Vice Chancellor Of SPPU
Pune 26th August 2023: Dr Parag Chandrakant Kalkar was appointed as the new Pro Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University on Saturday. The decision to appoint him was taken in the management council meeting at the University today, said officials. Dr Kalkar’s name was recommended by the Vice Chancellor of the University Suresh Gosavi.
Along with Dr Parag Kalkar, others including professor MG Chaskar, Professor Sanjay Chakane, professor Ashok Chaskar and professor Vijay Khare were also in the race to become the pro vice chancellor. Dr Kalkar is the former member of the management council. His name was also in the race to become Vice Chancellor when he was director of the Innovation, Research and Partnership Centre at the university.
