Three Dead And Four Injured In Major Accident On Pune-Bangalore Highway Near Satara
Pune 26th August 2023: Three people have lost their lives while four others were injured in a major accident reported near Satara on Pune-Bangalore Highway in the early hours on Saturday. The accident was reported at around 7 am due to a tyre burst of a vehicle involved in the accident.
According to police, a car collided with a pick up vehicle due to a tyre burst near Bombay Restaurant Chowk earlier today. Three people identified as Nikhil Shrikant Sawwakhande (30), Priyanka Nikhil Sawwakhande (25) and Shashikant Yedunath Sawwakhande (63), all residents of Jaysingpur, Kolhapur district have died on the spot while four injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to officials, the family was returning to their hometown in Jaysingpur from Mumbai at the time of the incident. They had gone to meet a relative whose family had died recently. Police officials from Satara were immediately rushed to the spot after this accident and the vehicle involved in the accident was removed from the road to make way for the traffic movement on the highway.
