Pune: Participate in Neerathon 2023 to Support Sustainable Water Conservation Projects in Maharashtra
Pune, 20th February 2023: The Rotary Club of Pune Amanora (RCPA) is organizing the “Kalyani Ferresta Neerathon 2023” in Amanora Park Town, Hadapsar, Pune, a family-run event aimed at promoting water conservation awareness. The event is set to take place on February 26, 2023, and is expected to attract over 1000 participants. The Neerathon theme aligns with RCPA’s mission to promote sustainable endeavors in water conservation and to make fresh water available to the needy.
Last year, the Rotary Club of Pune Amanora provided water wheels and water ATMs in remote villages of Pilosari in Raigarh District, Maharashtra to address water-related challenges. This year, RCPA is supported by Maersk Global Services, Pune for this project through their CSR Activities. RCPA Members are also supporting 50+ underprivileged students with free training and registration.
The run will consist of 3 Km, 5 Km and 10 Km and is open to all participants. Rashmi Satav, an athlete and iron man triathlon finisher, who is also ambassador and pacer for this marathon, said, “Proud to be associated with Neerathon as it is a well-organized race in beautiful locales and also for a good cause of water conservation.”
The event will be organized in partnership with Amanora, and Fern Hotels and Clubs will remain the hospitality partner. Exciting prizes and medals await the runners, and the Expo Drive on February 25 at the Billabong Amanora School will host stalls from Café Dil (NIBM, Pune), Anubhuti Social Empowerment (Mulshi, Pune) and Aarambh NGO (Mumbai).
Rotary Club of Pune Amanora intends to continue executing sustainable endeavors for water conservation, and Neerathon is an annual event that raises funds to execute projects related to the conservation of water. The club’s president, Saraswati Venkat, appealed to the public to join them at the start line on February 26, 2023, to support their cause.
