Pune: Party At Mayor’s Bungalow In COVID Pandemic?

Pune, September 25, 2020: When the number of COVID-19 cases is increasing, the representatives of this city were seen busy partying at the mayor’s bungalow. According to the sources, a party between the ruling party members and opposition members took place at the mayor’s bungalow on Wednesday night.
Pune city is the COVID-19 hotspot. Poor health care system and management at the jumbo COVID centre though under scanner from various quarters of the society, these elected representatives chose to lose their hair. Interestingly, these members have been crying foul over attending the general body meeting at the municipal corporation fearing COVID infection.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 137,330 out of which 116,626 have been cured while 3255 have died. There are still 17,449 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 957 critical patients out of which 499 are on ventilator support.
