Pimpri Chinchwad, 19th November 2022: The number passengers traveling daily from Pimpri and Chinchwad railway stations to Mumbai is almost 1,200. A survey of the morning rush hour and available trains at Pimpri and Chinchwad railway stations has been conducted by the Railway administration.

There is Koyana Express from the Chinchwad station to Mumbai directly after 6.35 am, 9.30 hours i.e. at 4.14 pm. Earlier there was Sahyadri Express but now it is closed. Pragati Express has no connecting local during morning hours. Stopping Pragati Express at Chinchwad will provide convenience to daily and other commuters and also increase ridership.

Passengers traveling to Mumbai spend more money because there is no train to Mumbai after 6.35 am time. In the above background, Pragati Express should stop at Chinchwad station on its way. This urgent demand has been made by the President of the Railway Passengers Association Iqbal Mulani and the Pimpri Chinchwad Association to the Chief Passenger Transport Manager of Central Railway.
