Pune: Passengers Fume As Deccan Queen, Sinhagad Express Arrive An Hour Late Daily

Pune, 9th January 2023: Sinhagad and Deccan Queen, which run between Pune and Mumbai, consistently arrive late due to a variety of factors, including the irregular timings of Pimpri-locals and reduced speed at the ghats. As a result, employees are having trouble reaching work on time.
Over 2,500 people commute to work every day between Pune and Mumbai in these trains. The railway administration has made two-morning trains available – the Sinhagad Express and the Deccan Queen. The Sinhagad Express leaves Pune at 6 am and reaches Mumbai at 10 am. Deccan Queen departs at 7:30 am and reaches Mumbai at 10.30 am.
Sinhagad Express and Deccan Queen are being obstructed by the late local trains. If a local train comes from the front, the speed of these two trains is decreased. Also, there is a delay in the Ghats as they have to go at low speed. Therefore, if the local runs on time, these problems will not arise for the employees.
Railway trains have been experiencing delays of 30 minutes to an hour for the past two months. Daily commuters are experiencing delays in getting to work as a result. As a result, the superiors in the office have to face the action. Biometric attendance is making attendance late. Also, money is deducted from their salary. Due to this, both Sinhagad Express and Deccan Queen trains must reach Mumbai on time, passengers have demanded.
