Pune Passport Office to Hold Special Drive on June 6 for Urgent Passport Applications
Pune, 2nd June 2026: In an effort to provide faster access to passport services and accommodate applicants with immediate travel requirements, the Regional Passport Office (RPO) Pune will conduct a Special Passport Drive on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in Pune.
The initiative is aimed at increasing appointment availability for both Normal and Tatkaal passport applicants, including those seeking fresh passports as well as re-issuance of existing passports.
Officials have advised applicants opting for the Normal category to ensure that all required documents are complete and in accordance with the provisions laid down under the Passport Rules. Applicants are encouraged to verify document requirements and eligibility criteria through the Passport India portal before booking an appointment. Applications with incomplete or incorrect documentation may not be processed.
Those applying under the Tatkaal scheme have been urged to pay special attention to the additional documentation and eligibility conditions associated with the expedited service. According to passport authorities, a significant number of Tatkaal applications face delays or rejection due to non-compliance with these requirements. Applicants should carefully review the Tatkaal guidelines, advisory notes, and undertaking requirements available on the Passport India website before scheduling their appointment.
The passport office also reminded applicants that, under the provisions of the Passports Act, 1967, and the Passports Rules, 1980, authorities may seek further information, verification, or supporting documents whenever necessary for processing an application.
How to Book an Appointment
Applicants can submit their passport application through the Passport India website or the mPassport Seva mobile application under either the Normal or Tatkaal category. After completing the online payment process, they can select “PSK Pune” as the appointment location and choose the available slot for June 6, 2026.
