Pune: Patit Pawan Organization’s Ghantanad Protest Against Rahul Solapurkar
Pune, 13th February 2025: In protest against the derogatory remarks made about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Patit Pawan Organization staged a Ghantanad (bell-ringing) protest outside actor Rahul Solapurkar’s residence in Kothrud.
A memorandum was submitted to Senior Police Inspector Deshmane of Kothrud Police Station, demanding immediate registration of a case and strict action. The protest took place on February 12, 2025. Meanwhile, Patit Pawan Organization’s spokesperson Ali Daruwala, in a press release, warned that the organization would take an aggressive stance against such statements.
“Rahul made irresponsible statements about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar solely to gain cheap publicity. This has hurt the sentiments of Shiv devotees and Ambedkarite followers. If the police delay taking action, we will be compelled to stage an indefinite chain hunger strike in front of the police station,” the statement warned.
During the protest, several key members were present, including State Vice President Balasaheb Bhamre, Rajabhau Patil, City President Shrikant Shilimkar, Manoj Nair, Gokul Shelar, Pappu Temghare, Arvind Pardeshi, Manoj Pawar, Sunil Marathe, Mauli Sathe, Vijay Gawade, Raju Berge, Sharad Deshmukh, Rahul Padwal, Vinod Bagal, Harale Patil, Raju Nair, Akshay Berge, Shubham Pardeshi, Deepak Pardeshi, Ram Jori, Sunny Shelar, Ganesh Galinde, Pramod Garud, Anant Yadav, Shaunak Katikar, and many others.
