Pune: Pay Property Tax Or Be Ready For Property Auction – PMC
Pune, December 13, 2020: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has cautioned the property owners to pay the property taxes or it will auction their property. Meanwhile, the concession scheme for property owners began from Wednesday.
PMC has been implementing various schemes for collecting property taxes. It implemented Abhay Scheme and it got extensions twice. If the dues are clear by December 31, concessions are upto 80 percent, if paid in January concessions will be upto 70 to 75 percent.
This scheme is for those who have dues over Rs 50 lakhs. Despite all this, the property owners are not coming forward to pay the dues. Thus, PMC property tax head Vilas Kanade said that those who will fail to pay the dues, their properties will be auctioned.
