Pune: PCDAO Observes Environment-Friendly Days To Mark World Sparrow Day 2022
Camp, 20th March 2022: A bird lover (ornithologist) and environment-friendly program of “World Sparrow Day 2022” was observed today in a very sanguine sagacious manner n the lush green lawns near the Flag Post of Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) (PCDA (O)) Pune.
PCDA (O) Dr Rajeev Chavan, Dy CDA Lehana Singh, Accounts Officers P P Pathak, Neeraj Nidhi, Asst. Accounts Officers Kailash Kumar Singh and S. Rambabu were present on the occasion.
The Chief Guest acknowledged their gracious presence and stated that because of Global warming Climatic change and installation of mobile towers and excess use of mobile. The large population of sparrows is witnessing a decline because of high rise buildings and cities turning into concrete jungle.
He requested all to put their sincere efforts in preventing the dwindling sparrow population to survive and multiplicity. He told the gathering to provide them one fist of Bajra and one bowl of water to bring their extinct tribe back to life.
Today being the International Day of Happiness he told the gathering that because of Covid-19 pandemic and resultant loss of life and psychic elements the people are tense, troubled and terse. He requested all to be happy in whatever they possess as happiness is a journey and not a destination of a journey of human life. He told a gathering that happy people do not have the best of everything but they are those people who make the best out of nothing.
