Pune: PCMC Aims For 100% Waste Segregation In Pimpri-Chinchwad In Two Months
Pimpri, 15th August 2022: Efforts are underway to make Pimpri-Chinchwad the cleanest and most beautiful city in the country through various initiatives. As of now, up to 90 percent of waste is being segregated, and by October, this number will go up to 100 percent, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Rajesh Patil assured while speaking at the headquarters on Monday.
He also said that this industrial city will be known as ‘Sports Hub’ in the future, with necessary action being taken for the purpose.
The flag was hoisted by the Commissioner at the headquarters of PCMC in the presence of dignitaries and citizens.
Speaking on this occasion, Commissioner Patil said that India has achieved many goals in different fields. The country is progressing in all directions. Pimpri-Chinchwad has established itself as a modern city. Many development-related works have been done in the city in the last few years. All municipal hospitals are providing 24-hour medical services to the citizens of the city. Two more hospitals will be included. ‘Jijau Clinic’ will be started soon in various places in the city.
It is proposed to start a Municipal Medical College. Efforts are underway to make Pimpri-Chinchwad the cleanest and most beautiful city in the country through various initiatives. The municipality is implementing many new initiatives with new concepts with the participation of all, he added.
