Pune: PCMC Enhances Healthcare and Education Through CSR Initiatives

Pimpri, 8th January 2024: In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare and education services, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has successfully secured three Health ATM Machines for its Medical Department and three Digital Classrooms for the Education Department, courtesy of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE): Pune India under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The three Health ATM Machines will be strategically placed in the testing rooms of key healthcare facilities, namely Pimpri’s Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) Hospital, Yamuna Nagar Municipal Maternity Hospital, and Chinchwad’s Talera Hospital. This initiative aims to expedite the process of receiving examination reports, providing patients with the convenience of obtaining their reports within just 10 minutes. The deployment of these machines is expected to alleviate congestion in hospitals and reduce reporting times, enhancing overall efficiency.

 

In alignment with the global shift towards advanced digitalization, Hewlett Packard Enterprise plans to contribute to the educational sector by providing three Digital Classrooms to PCMC schools. The objective is to empower students in Municipal schools to thrive in the digital age, fostering a conducive learning environment that incorporates modern technologies.

 

The formal agreement for the transfer of these valuable resources took place on January 5, 2024, in the commissioner’s room at the main administrative building of the PCMC in Pimpri. The ceremony witnessed the presence of PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate, Chief Information Technology Officer Nilakant Poman, Assistant Commissioner Vijaykumar Thorat, and representatives from Hewlett Packard Enterprises India, including Vice President Global Support Sanjay Mujo, CSR Cell Head Sushil Bhatla, Senior Program Manager Ishan Aggarwal, and CSR Cell expert Shrutika Mungi.
