Pune: PCMC Imposes Rs 4,100 Fine On Nine People For Littering On Road

Pimpri, 13th July 2022: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has charged nine people for littering on the roads and has collected a total fine of Rs 4100. The PCMC has appealed that the citizens should not throw garbage on the road.

The squad, under the leadership of the Assistant Commissioner and Ward Officer Anna Bodade, took the action against nine citizens of the Chikhali Moi Phata area and Indrayani Nagar, Bhosari area, on Tuesday.

Assistant Health Officer Babasaheb Kamble, Chief Health Inspector Shantaram Mane, Health Inspector Laxman Salve, and Vaibhav Kaichengaudar were involved in the action.

The PCMC is implementing a cleanliness campaign in the city. The ‘C’ Ward Office Health Department has awakened the citizens and establishments on the streets and roads about the campaign, and the penalty was imposed for the violations.
