It has been raining heavily in Lonavla since last week. Water is flowing very fast from the steps of Bhushi dam. Visiting the dam has become dangerous. Two days ago, a tourist died after falling into a backwater of the dam. Police Inspector Dubal said the rule was authorised to prevent such accidents.

At the same time, notice boards have been set up at various places to guide the tourists. Strict action is being taken against rioters and drunken tourists. Penalties are also being charged to those who violate traffic rules, park vehicles on the road, obstruct traffic and drive on the wrong side.

Seeing the rain and fog in the Lonavla area, the city police has appealed to the tourists to avoid going to dangerous places.
