Pune: PCMC Issues Revised Lockdown Order; Coaching Centres, Study Rooms To Reopen

Pimpri, 11th June 2021: After earlier stating that there are no further relaxations in lockdown in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) areas, Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil has issued a revised order.
As per the new order, coaching centres, competitive exam centres and study rooms (Abhyasika) will be allowed to open with 50% seating capacity from Monday (June 14).
At present shops and other establishments are allowed to open on alternate days (odd-even) till 4 pm as there is a curfew from 5 pm in PCMC areas.
Also, all the establishments have to do a rapid antigen test (RAT) of their workers/employees who are coming from outside the PCMC area to re-join the work.
Work at a construction site where workers stay can go on full-time by following all the required norms.
At present, the COVID positivity rate is 5.2% while the oxygen occupancy bed rate is 10.95%. Therefore, no much relaxation has been given, PCMC Commissioner Patil said.
