Pimpri, 13 July 2021: Mayor Mai Dhore instructed the concerned authorities to immediately repair the roads, drainage and electric lights in the Siddhivinayak Nagari area near Appu Ghar in Nigdi and to take measures to start a regular bus service.

Mayor Mai Dhore along with officials visited Siddhivinayak Nagari, Duttnagar, Samarthnagari Ashirwad Colony, Srivihar etc. in the back area of Appu Ghar. Part of the road in this place falls within the municipal limits and part within the cantonment limits. When the citizens informed the mayor about his problem, she informed the authorities.

A Ward President Sharmila Babar, Executive Engineer Ravindra Pawar, Deputy Engineer Sanjay Kharat, PMPML’s Ramnath Takle, Ravindra Landge, Information and Public Relations Department’s Praful Puranik, Social Activists Pradip Kumar Bendre Jadhavrao, Datta Kalbhor, Umashankar Singh, Bansi Road, Bhushan Kalbhor, Jai Bhagwan Jyoti Tamhankar, Shirdi, Bhakretai etc. were present.

The women of the Siddhivinayak Nagari area raised the issue in their area with Mayor  Dhore. They urged the mayor to take concrete measures in this regard, saying that some of the street lights are off at night so it is unsafe to come at night.

Citizens also reported their problems to the mayor. When entering the Siddhivinayak Nagari area, large signs should be put up near the petrol pump and this place needs a bus stop. Regular buses should be provided for coming and going. Due to the steep slopes of the land in this area, waterlogging occurs during the monsoons, causing drainage to flood the roads.

The residents of the area also requested Mayor Dhore to widen the road as it is narrow and provide sidewalks and beautify the roads in the area as the area is close to the historic Bhakti Shakti Samuha Shilpa.
