Pimpri, 25th January 2024: Madhayamik Vidyalaya Bopkhel, PCMC clinched the top spot in evaluations among municipal schools in Pimpri Chinchwad, as part of the ‘Jallosh Shikshanacha’ 2024 program. The event, organized by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, aimed to showcase student talents and celebrate the educational achievements of municipal schools.
Adinath Karad, the proud Principal of Madhayamik Vidyalaya Bopkhel, PCMC, shared insights into the school’s remarkable journey in an interview with Punekar News. He expressed immense pride in the school’s transformation, starting with 35 students in 2016 and growing into a robust secondary institution with 129 students today.
Karad emphasized the school’s unique approach to education, stating, “For me, I am not creating students. I teach students intending to build a nation.” The school’s commitment to holistic development is evident in its focus on academics, modern and traditional sports, and innovative subjects.
Madhayamik Vidyalaya Bopkhel, PCMC, offers Business Studies as an optional subject, providing practical skills in tailoring and plumbing to prepare students for employment. Notably, the school collaborates with social organizations to teach computer languages and coding, preparing students for the demands of the digital age.
Karad highlighted the school’s success in securing scholarships for students who perform well in the 10th board examinations. “Students of my school have earned 15 lakh 75 thousand rupees from this scholarship till now,” he proudly stated.
The school’s proactive approach includes offering foreign language courses from the next academic year, inspired by successful models implemented in Delhi. Karad firmly believes in the transformative power of education, asserting, “We believe that a nation is built only when students are built, and hence we will continue to work hard.”
