Pune: Pedestrian Robbed By Gang Pretending To Be Police in Shaniwarwada Area
Pune, 15th December 2022: In the Shaniwarwada area, an incident has come to light where a young pedestrian was threatened and robbed of Rs 15,000 by a gang pretending to be policemen.
In this regard, a case has been registered against the robber Irfan Sayyid and his accomplices. Amol Bhimrao Khandare (23), a resident of Tofkhana, Shivajinagar, has filed a complaint at Shivajinagar police station.
Khandare left the Shaniwarwada area around 11.45 pm. At that time, Sayyid and his companions stopped him and pretended to be the police.
Sayyid started threatening him by showing him a fake identity card and transferred Rs 15,000 to himself online.
Later Khandare lodged a complaint with the police. Police sub-inspector Naikwadi is investigating.
