Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Housing Federation Seeks CM’s Intervention Over Daily Traffic Woes

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 4th July 2025: Citing daily traffic congestion and mounting commute troubles, the Chikhali Moshi Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation has demanded a meeting with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to find concrete solutions for the growing transportation crisis affecting thousands of residents.
The federation, through Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge, has formally submitted a request urging him to raise the issue during the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The group is pushing for the Chief Minister to personally meet with federation representatives to address persistent traffic snarls on key routes to Chakan, Hinjawadi, Talegaon, and Talawade.
According to federation president Sanjeevan Sangle, residents are losing four to five hours daily due to severe traffic jams, especially during peak office hours. The situation has worsened during the monsoon, leading to increased travel times and substantial fuel wastage. “This is no longer just a local inconvenience; it is a national economic concern as it wastes both time and fuel, valuable national assets,” he said.
Sangle highlighted that prolonged traffic disruptions have taken a toll on commuters’ mental well-being and work productivity, urging authorities to act swiftly. “We appeal to MLA Mahesh Landge to facilitate a direct meeting with the Chief Minister at the earliest. This crisis has dragged on for far too long,” he added.
The federation remains hopeful that political intervention will help bring about lasting and practical transport solutions for the residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
