Two women trapped on the upper floors of the building were rescued safely by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Fire Brigade.

According to the fire department, the blaze erupted in electric two-wheelers that were plugged in for charging and quickly spread, engulfing the parking area before extending to the adjoining two-storey residential building. Three electric scooters were completely destroyed in the fire.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Fire Officer Gautam Ingawale. Lead Firemen Vinayak Nale and Shahaji Kopnar, along with a team of firefighters, played a key role in extinguishing the fire and carrying out the rescue operation.

The fire department urged citizens to exercise caution while charging electric vehicles inside residential buildings, stating that adherence to basic safety measures can help prevent such incidents.
