Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Keeps Tax Offices Open on Weekends

Pimpri Chinchwad, 13th March 2025: In a move to facilitate taxpayers, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has decided to keep its main office and 18 divisional tax collection offices open on Saturdays and Sundays. This decision aims to help citizens meet the 31st March deadline for tax payments, with only 18 days remaining to achieve the corporation’s financial targets.

Currently, over Rs 831 crore has been collected, and the corporation is taking stringent measures against defaulters, including property seizures and auctions. To encourage timely payments, the tax department is using telecalling and SMS services to reach out to taxpayers. Citizens can contact the corporation at 8888006666 for assistance, and SMS messages from @CP-PCMCPT and @CP-PCMCWT are considered official.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil emphasized the importance of paying property taxes to contribute to the city’s development. The cash counters will operate from 9:45 AM to 5:45 PM until 31st March, allowing citizens ample time to make their payments. This extended service is part of the corporation’s efforts to ensure that taxpayers face no difficulties in meeting the deadline.
