Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Inspects High-Booth Polling Stations

Pimpri Chinchwad, 22nd February 2024: In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the police have commenced preparations to implement security measures. Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey today conducted a visit to three polling stations characterized by a high number of booths under the jurisdiction of MIDC Bhosari Police Station.

Commissioner of Police Choubey conducted visits to polling stations with the highest number of booths within the jurisdiction of MIDC Bhosari Police Station. He visited PCMC School in Borhadewadi, Savitribai Phule School Moshi, and Nageshwar School Moshi. Deputy Commissioner of Police of Zone 3, Shivaji Pawar, accompanied him on this occasion.

With the likelihood of a code of conduct being enforced for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in March, preparations are already underway at various levels, involving the Election Commission, Police, and other departments. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate is gearing up for the task, as three Lok Sabha constituencies fall within its jurisdiction.

The Maval Lok Sabha Constituency encompasses police stations such as Pimpri, Chinchwad, Nigdi, Dehu Road, Ravet, Wakad, Talegaon, Talegaon MIDC, and a portion of Bhosari Police Station. On the other hand, the Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency includes sections of Bhosari Police Station, MIDC Bhosari, Chikhali, Dighi, Alandi, Chakan, and Mahalunge MIDC Police Stations. Furthermore, a segment of the Hinjawadi police station is situated in Maval, and another portion falls within the Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency.

Given the extensive coverage and diverse locations involved, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police are proactively taking significant security measures to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the elections.
