Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Meets Industries In Chakan, Appeals To Lodge Complaint Against Extortionists

Pimpri, 21st January 2023: The Federation of Chakan Industries, along with other officials from the companies, held a meeting with the Pimpri-Chinchwad police on Thursday (January 19) to discuss several issues. The police also promised to remove any antisocial elements operating in the Chakan industrial area.

The police commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad, Vinay Kumar Choubey, stated, “We understand the issues that the business community is facing and have guaranteed them strong action against agitators. It will be simpler for us to take appropriate action against the concerned if they come forward and file a police complaint, which is what we have urged of them.”

Dilip Batwal, secretary of the Federation of Chakan Industries informed, “Extortion, robbery, threatening, women’s crimes, traffic, road and likewise many other issues were discussed during the meeting and police personnel assured to handle the discussed issues on a priority basis.”

Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister, visited Pune recently and gave severe orders to all police officers to take necessary actions against any antisocial elements operating in the industrial area in and around Pune. The said meeting was scheduled against that backdrop by the Pimpri-Chinchwad police.

The meeting was conducted at the Bridgestone company. Along with commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, the meeting was joined by Pune City Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar, Kolhapur Range Special Inspector General Sunil Phulare, Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal, and Joint CP Pune City Police Sandip Karnik.
