Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Seize Ganja Worth Rs 4 Lakh
Pimpri, 13th February 2024: The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Pimpri-Chinchwad police nabbed an individual outside the Vallabh Nagar ST stand in Pimpri with Marijuana (Ganja) worth Rs 4 lakh. The arrest occurred late on Monday (12th February).
The individual, identified as Bayla Ansingh Kirade, aged 40 and from Dhule, was taken into custody. Police Constable Prasad Dangilwad lodged a formal complaint at the Pimpri Police Station regarding the matter.
As per police reports, Kirade was caught with 8 kg 569 grams of ganja, valued at Rs 4,29,450, allegedly meant for distribution. Upon receiving the tip-off, swift action was taken, resulting in the successful apprehension of the suspect. Subsequently, the police seized the illegal marijuana along with his mobile phone. Kirade has been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Pimpri Police Station.
