Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Seized 253 Weapons Under Special Operation, Arrested 211 Accused
Pimpri, 4th February 2023: Pimpri Chinchwad Police has launched a special campaign and nabbed 211 criminals and seized 253 dangerous weapons from January 19 to February 3.
In this special campaign, all police stations under Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate, Crime Branch took this action. In this, 36 crimes have been filed against those carrying pistols without a license. 150 cases were registered in connection with the possession of dangerous weapons like swords. Pimpri Chinchwad Police arrested 211 criminals and seized 253 weapons including 48 pistols and 205 weapons.
Ranks were given to units according to performance to encourage good performers and policemen under special missions. The first rank went to the Dacoity Squad, the second rank to the Anti-Gunda Squad, and the third rank to Unit-4. At the police station level, Mahalunge Police Station,
Shirgaon Police Station and Pimpri Police Station
have carried out the most seizures.
Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey felicitated the policemen who performed excellently in the special campaign. Police Commissioner informed in the press conference that this operation will continue further.
